Wedding photography that's not taken too seriously.

Photographing a wedding, for me, is all about connection; between the two of you but also your family and friends. I love capturing couples as they are and how they show love to one another, that’s why I always get to know you as much as possible. That way I know before your big day how to get the best out of you but also so that you’re comfortable being who you are around me.

My style is very 'hands off'; I specialise in producing natural, authentic and candid photography for people who are usually pretty camera shy but love photographs that can evoke a memory or make them feel something. I’m all about the moments that matter and making sure that you can concentrate on having a bloody good time rather than focusing on me and what I’m doing with a camera, this is your wedding day not my photoshoot! I love my galleries to look like they are through the eyes of a guest at your wedding day and this is why I actively engage in every wedding that I work on.

My Approach

My Approach

01. Getting to know you.

This is the most important part of how I approach wedding photography. I take my time to get to know you both and ensure that you feel comfortable and confident around me to show me who you are.

Whether this is on a pre-wedding shoot or just meeting up before your wedding and going over your plans. I want to know what I can do to bring out the best of you. This way I can make sure you look like you, but after a Berocca.

Let me tell your story.

For me, your wedding story starts when you get in touch. I want you to make sure that you are both 100% confident that I am the man for you when it comes to your wedding photography. Whenever possible I would love to meet up first and have a chat, show you a whole wedding day. This is the best way to see if me and my style suits what you are looking for in a wedding photographer, see a mix of the natural moments, portraits and group photographs I manage to get on a wedding day.

Stephen was just so incredible from start to finish. When we turned up to our first meeting and could see how organised, friendly and supportive he was right from the beginning it just made this element of the wedding so easy. Being someone who needs every detail organised, Stephen helped with planning, logistics and ensuring everything we wanted and more was done and sorted.

He made us, family and guests feel so relaxed with his warm presence, amazing attitude and great stories and jokes.

FAQ

Will we be away from our guests for ages?

Absolutely not!! I want you back and enjoying the party as soon as possible. I usually take 15-ish minutes in the day for portraits and a little break and then another 15 minutes in the evening after the meal to make the most of some softer evening light.

When will we see our photographs?

I send you a handful of photographs on the day so they are ready to share straight away followed by a fuller preview within 10 days of you wedding day. Usually finished galleries are delivered within 8 weeks of the wedding but it could be up to 12 weeks in busy periods.

How do we book?

Firstly I encourage us to meet up and have an informal chat first, whether that's in person or via video call so that you know you will feel comfortable around me on the wedding day. If you're happy to still go ahead I will send a link to my booking system and then from there a signed copy of my terms and conditions and a £200 booking fee secures your wedding date.

Do you do group photographs?

Absolutely! At our meeting before your wedding we will go through a list of group photographs that you want taking on the day. This way we can make sure that we get all of the special photographs of your day.

What happens if you're ill on our wedding day?

Firstly I will do whatever I can to be at your wedding. I spent most of my 2022 wedding season photographing on crutches so there isn't much that will stop me! If there is a reason I cannot attend I have a network of brilliant people who can stand in for me and they will treat you well.

Do your wedding packages have time limits?

Only my 'little one' package has a time limit. Other than that I work from 'this' to 'that' meaning that if timings change last minute we have the flexibility to still capture everything you want from your wedding day.

Do you offer wedding albums

Absolutely! They're a classic for a reason and I offer gorgeously elegant albums which are made within the UK. Check my blog for an albums post or simply get in touch to request my album brochure.
